The world is accustomed to thinking of the union between Princess Diana and the then Prince Charles as a tumultuous and destructive one. But there was a period of time when the couple were happy and surprisingly, Diana spoke of it shortly before she died. The warring pair divorced in 1996 after 15 years of marriage and Diana fought to get her side of the story across in her bombshell interview with the BBC ’s Martin Bashir, following Charles’ affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, who is now Queen.
