Unsympathetic to His Injury, Fans Urge Jordan Spieth to ‘Get a Grip’ After Yet Another PGA Tour Disaster

All’s not well for Jordan Spieth, and it has been this way for a while. The 3-time major winner and the former world no. 1 is having trouble making the cut on the PGA Tour. It’s a reality that fans have been overlooking for a while now. But following the Wyndham Championship’s disastrous gameplay from Spieth, they are opening up about their true feelings, and they are not giving him a free pass because of his withstanding wrist injury.

At the Wyndham Championship this week, Spieth finished with a 2-under par after two rounds. The cutline of the weather-ridden event was 4 under. Spieth shot 67, and 71 on the first two days of the competition, and four bogeys in the second round ultimately led to a missed cut, once again. Notably, the PGA Tour pro had a great beginning this season.

In the very first event, The Sentry, at Kapalua Plantation Course, Spieth finished as the second runner-up. Next month, at the Phoenix Open, he was still in the top 10. However, these were followed by disqualification at Genesis, missed cuts at events to follow, and dropping further down on the list. All of these consequences other than signing the wrong scorecard can be because of his injury.

At the RBC Heritage this season, Spieth somehow jammed his left wrist. But it was simply not a jam. It has ultimately resulted in his ECU tendon popping out. The golfer persevered through the pain, played the event, and finished at T39. He claimed that the pain as well as the phenomenon are recurring and affect his play a great deal.
