Duchess Sophie is in Guernsey to celebrate the Association of Sail Training Organisations’ Guernsey – Poole Small Ships Race. The race runs from August 13-15, from Guernsey to Poole and involves young people across 12 boats. Sophie will meet with around 140 of those who are taking part in the race.
Duchess Sophie, who is now wearing a navy baseball cap, chats to the crew aboard the Prolific. It marks her first visit to the Baliwick since becoming Duchess in 2023. Her last visit to Guernsey was in 2022, when she came with her husband to mark the 77th anniversary of its liberation from occupation.
