Simon Cowell FINALLY shows off his singing skills as he celebrates his 65th birthday – after years of critiquing the vocals of others on talent shows

Simon Cowell has finally revealed what he sounds like when he sings, after famously being branded ‘Mr Nasty’ due to his sharp feedback to hopeful musicians.

The music mogul turned 65 on Monday and sang himself Happy Birthday to mark the occasion.

And despite making millions in the music industry, Simon joked about his tone deaf vocals as he told fans: ‘That’s why I decided to never be a singer’.

host of Simon’s showbiz friends took to the comment section to share congratulatory messages, including America’s Got Talent judges Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.

Supermodel Heidi wrote; ‘Happy, Happy Birthday Simon. Love you with all my heart’, while Howie added: ‘Happy Birthday. I bought you something so amazing I kept it for myself.

Katie Piper typed: ‘Happy Birthday’.

Despite nearly hitting retirement age, Simon is showing no signs of slowing down with Britain’s Got Talent schedules for next year and has been busy filming his new Netflix documentary.

Simon previously explained he believes social media is killing the quality of the music industry after years of discovering famous faces such as Alexandra Burke, Stacey Solomon, and Susan Boyle through his television programs.

The talent show judge is currently searching for the next One Direction as a part of his new Netflix documentary The Midas Touch, though has reportedly been left disappointed with the less-than-stellar turnout of contestants.

Reflecting on the state of the music industry, Simon hit out at social media for allowing wannabe artists to by-pass traditional records labels and make it big.
