Victoria Beckham’s fiery response when asked if she’s ‘excited’ to become a gran
Victoria Beckham was taken aback when asked if she’s ‘excited’ to become a grandmother. The former Spice Girl, who is mum to sons Brooklyn, 24, Cruz, 18, Romeo, 21, and daughter Harper, 12, responded with surprise reply during an interview with Vogue.
Her eldest son, Brooklyn, married billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz in 2022 and it’s been reported Nicola had a rocky relationship with her in-laws, which included a disagreement over her wedding dress. However, it seems the two Beckham women are on good terms, writes The Mirror.
When asked about becoming a grandmother, Victoria responded: “What?! Woo. Hang on! I don’t think it’s happening just yet, unless you guys know something that I don’t. It’s not happening just yet,” she insisted.
Despite her shock, Victoria did share a conversation she’d had with Vogue editor Anna Wintour on the topic. Victoria Beckham shared a funny story about what her future grandchildren might call her.
She said: “The last time I was with Anna, I was like, ‘Anna, what do your grandchildren call you?’ And she said to me, ‘Anna.’ And I was like, well that is very elegant, so maybe I’ll take that route.
“But it’s not happening just yet. But, you know, hopefully one day if I am blessed, then that would be wonderful. But we’re not there just yet!”
