Is Rickie Fowler Playing at the WWT Championship After Recent Brutal ZOZO Disappointment?

Former world no. 4, Rickie Fowler has seen some major ups and downs throughout his career. Despite the inconsistency, he has still managed to bag 6 PGA Tour victories since his debut in 2009. And even when Fowler was not winning that many trophies, he was still finishing high on the leaderboard. We can see that in his 70 top 5 finishes in the last 15 years.

But the world no. 66 has never been so out of form as he has been in 2024. Fowler has struggled throughout the year and hasn’t achieved a single top-10 finish in 22 appearances during the main season. But it seems that things are about to change after the 2024 Zozo Championship. Going neck-and-neck with the likes of Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, and the eventual winner; Nicolas Echavarria, Fowler was able to gain a 4th place finish. With that finish, Fowler also kept his 16-year streak of finishing top 10 in at least one event in a season alive. As we head towards the next event in the FedExCup Fall, will Fowler be a part of the entry list as he tries to build on his momentum? Let’s find out.

As we get closer to the end of the season, the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship will be another great opportunity for pros to make the cut for next season. Hence, we are sure to see many top pros who are close to the 125 rank range. However, there might still be a few appearances from players who have already confirmed their place in the PGA Tour season.
