Radical Shift Looms as Serena Williams’ Ex-Coach and Pam Shriver Threaten to Abandon Twitter for an Exciting New Medium
X or Bluesky? Well, this has been a major debate in the last few weeks! The decentralized social network which was originally created as a research initiative in 2019 by then-Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey has added at least 1 million users in the last few days. Moreover, in October this year, Bluesky added 500,000 users in a day after Elon Musk blunted X’s “block” feature. Many of the users, including some celebrities have now started to think about a switch from X and that list includes tennis legends like Pam Shriver and Serena Williams’ former coach, Rennae Stubbs.
What did they say on this topic recently? Well, the 62-year-old American former pro tennis player, Pam Shriver recently came up with an interesting tweet. In her tweet, she asked her fans, “Preparing to leave X and want some feedback to what’s best next steps for tennis peeps?” Then in the comment section, we saw some of the fans coming up with a reply naming, Bluesky as the perfect replacement. Is she really going to make that switch? We don’t know, however, another tennis legend, and Serena Williams’ ex-coach Rennae Stubbs also gave a hint on her stand in this debate.
Rennae Stubbs who’s mostly known for taking down the critics on X, recently shared a tweet stating, “But while i am still on the toxic site. I would love to spread some joy. I just watched ‘my old a–‘ on @PrimeVideo and it was so cute!!🥰 @maisystella was brilliant & as always so was Aubrey Plaza and the entire cast! Fantastic movie. About learning the lessons of love & life.” Why is she calling it a toxic site, though? Well, she backed her statement with a follow-up tweet that claimed, “Also interestingly i am losing followers! I hope that’s a sign of people bailing on this toxic site.”
