Jordan Spieth and wife make personal announcement after injury admission

Jordan Spieth and his wife, Annie, have announced they are expecting their third child after a promising start to the PGA Tour season for the injury-plagued 31-year-old.

The Spieths already have a three-year-old son named Sammy and a one-year-old daughter called Sophie, and the family is set to welcome a new arrival in July. The high-school sweethearts announced their engagement in 2018 and they were married a few months later.

Spieth has been guarded about his family life in the past, but he opened up about his experiences as a father ahead of the upcoming arrival this summer. His recovery from a wrist injury was frustrating, but it allowed him to spend more time at home with his loved ones.

I probably watched more football than I have, ever,” Spieth joked on ‘The Smylie Show.’ “A lot of family time. My son turned three in November, so we had his birthday and stuff. He loves monster trucks, we were at the monster truck rally.

“My daughter turned one in September before him, so we had her birthday right after we got home from Colorado after I had my surgery. My wife, we got a third coming in July. So, it’s busy.”

Spieth’s 2024 season ended in disappointment, failing to make it to the final 50 of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, with a tendon issue in his left wrist taking its toll. He shut his season down in August to undergo surgery to address the issue.
