Prince Harry delivers fresh blow to King Charles over grandchildren as Invictus Games close

King Charles III has made no secret of his desire to spend more time with his grandchildren – yet a resolve may not be on the cards for some time as Prince Harry has revealed future plans for his children.

The Duke of Sussex, who quit as senior member of the Royal Family in 2020, has made no secret of his concerns about bringing his children Archie and Lilibet to the UK amid security fears.

Now, in what could be seen as a blow to the king, Prince Harry has opened up about future plans for his children to fly to Vancouver to enjoy the Invictus Games and see the work they do there. He has not yet spoken about plans for his kids to go to England.

When asked about bringing the kids to Vancouver, proud father-of-two Prince Harry, told Town & Country: “Absolutely,” adding that he would “love for them to experience the Invictus spirit firsthand one day.” Harry, who founded the Invictus Games in 2014 as a multi-sport event for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel, said: “Right now, they’re still young, but we already talk about the importance of resilience, community, and service—everything Invictus represents.”
