Rory McIlroy makes confession about marriage to Erica Stoll after divorce saga

Nearly one year after Rory McIlroy handed divorce papers to his wife Erica Stoll, an interview from the former has been posted on a trailer for the new series of ‘Full Swing’
In an emotional moment before the start of last year’s PGA Championship, the golf star revealed plans for him and his wife Erica Stoll to divorce. Yet, only a month after this bombshell, McIlroy announced they were no longer pursuing a divorce and had worked through their issues.
A teaser for the third instalment of Netflix’s golf documentary ‘Full Swing’ suggests the couple’s marital struggles could be part of the storyline. Appearing in the documentary series, McIlroy confessed on camera that finding the right balance between his professional aspirations and family responsibilities proved to be a struggle.
The trailer for the third series, which is released to Netflix audiences on February 25, captures McIlroy expressing his hardships in an interview. It shows a snippet of him opening up about the divorce. In it, he says: “I’ve struggled with trying to be the best golfer, the best husband, the best dad.”
