Rory McIlroy’s 4-year-old daughter Poppy is no stranger to the golf course.
Since Rory and his wife Erica Stoll welcomed their daughter in 2020, Poppy has been stealing the show at her dad’s golf tournaments — especially during the annual Par 3 Contest at the Masters each year.
“It’s amazing,” Rory told Golfweek in September 2020 about becoming a dad. “You feel like you get to know your baby while she’s still in her mother’s belly, but to go from not having met this person to having unconditional love for them, there’s nothing like it in the world.”
He continued, “It’s probably the best part of being a human being, and I’m glad that I got to experience it.”
In May 2024, Rory filed for divorce from Erica after more than seven years of marriage and amid filming season 3 of Netflix’s Full Swing. The couple ultimately reconciled a month later and called off their divorce.
“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning,” Rory told The Guardian.
