Nelly Korda, the world No. 1 golfer, started off the Solheim Cup in fashion for the United States. She recorded four birdies and two eagles, helping the Americans grab a 6-2 lead over Europe.
Korda was going through a bit of a rough patch prior to the Solheim Cup, but she clearly caught fire at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
Instead of taking all the credit for the Americans’ dominance on Friday afternoon, Korda praised her teammate, Megan Khang.
“When you have a teammate who’s so pure off the tee, you never have to worry. You just kind of send it,” Korda said. “So that was kind of the motto, is I was going to go first and send it.”
Korda, who has won six events on the LPGA Tour this season, has become a fan favorite due to her success on the course.
Golf fans also seem to love Korda’s social media content.
In July, Korda took a trip to Croatia to unwind. She then shared a few swimsuit photos on Instagram.
