Rory McIlroy’s Ex-Girlfriend Turned Heads With ‘Body Paint’ Swimsuit Photo
Before Rory McIlroy got married to Erica Stoll, he dated tennis star Carolina Wozniacki.
Wozniacki, 34, was once the No. 1 ranked player in women’s tennis. The highlight of her career was winning the Australian Open in 2019. She also reached the US Open final in 2009 and 2014. During the prime of her career, she found love with McIlroy. However, their romance didn’t last as long as some hoped it would.
McIlroy and Wozniacki went public with their relationship in 2011. They got engaged in December 2013 before calling things off in May 2014.
“It is quite a difficult time for Caroline and myself, and the statement really said it all this morning,” McIlroy said. “It was mutual, and we both thought it was the best for us, the best for both of us. Time to move on, and I’ve said all that I need to say.”
Wozniacki is currently married to former New York Knicks star David Lee. Prior to last weekend’s tournament at Augusta National, she told ESPN that they picked Ludvig Aberg to win the Masters.
