Kate Middleton Enforces This Surprising Rule for George, Charlotte, and Louis During Playtime!

The Princess of Wales has a very special rule she likes her children to adhere to whent hey’re playing which helps them to escape the pressures of life as a young Royal

Kate Middleton takes her parenting very seriously but there is one surprising rule she has for when her children are playing.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis reportedly have one command from their nanny they must obey when it comes to playtime. While growing up in the spotlight sets the Royal siblings apart from most other children Prince William and Kate try to keep some sense of normality for their offspring while at home in Windsor’s Adelaide Cottage. A huge part of day-to-day life for George, Charlotte and Louis is their nanny Maria Borrallo. Maria is a highly esteemed Norland Nanny having trained at Norland College in Bath and has worked for the Royals since George was just a tiny baby.

Maria has reportedly implemented a key set of rules she likes the siblings to follow at playtime to help them unwind from the exterior stresses they face as world-famous children who are also in the line of succession for the British royal family. Nanny expert and author of Nanny in a Book, Louise Heren, has detailed her insider view of how the children will be encouraged to indulge in messy play in their downtime in a stark contrast to their usual spotless appearances in public. In an interview with Hello!, Helen explained: “There will be lots and lots of outdoor play…Lots of bike rides, playing with their dogs, potentially some gardening. Yes, you are getting mucky with your hands in the soil. If it is tipping it down, they will still go out.”

Meanwhile, Kate will be appreciative of the rule as she has previously spoken about the importance of outdoor play and time spent outside for children as she recalled the benefits of it from her own childhood. Appearing on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast back in 2020, Kate detailed her passion for time spent outdoors saying: “As children, we spent a lot of time outside, and it’s something I’m really passionate about.”
