David and Victoria Beckham ‘mock’ Meghan, Harry and son Brooklyn in cheeky dig

David Beckham makes jam
David and Victoria Beckham have been accused of taking a swipe at Meghan Markle and her As Ever products. The Duchess of Sussex launched her own collection of goods, featuring jam and marmalade. The Beckhams were close pals with Meghan and had apparently extended their support when she initially relocated to London. Victoria was understood to have shared her little black book of favourite hairdressers and stylists with Meghan, but when additional details about their friendship emerged publicly, it sparked suspicion from Meghan that Victoria had “leaked” the information. This reportedly led to a conversation between pals Prince Harry and David, reports the Mirror.
In a recent Instagram video the former England captain channeled his inner Duchess of Sussex and turned fruit from his Cotswolds home into conserve. His wife was clearly amused as she performed a voiceover and even cracked a joke about his “juicy plums” before laughing when he revealed a jar labelled “David Beckjam”. At the centre of Meghan’s As Ever range is her own jam, which she calls ‘fruit spread’, and most recently an orange marmalade. But the cheeky video comes just a week after their son Brooklyn gave his social media followers a tutorial on how to make jam.
This prompted some supporters to suggest that Victoria and David’s latest post about their homemade jam was a subtle jab at both their son Brooklyn – who recently crafted his own preserve – and Meghan, who boasts her own selection of fruit spreads.
In the video, she quips: “So we’ve had a weekend of cooking … Well you have, I’ve been watching! You’ve been making lots of jam and look what you’ve made – David Beckjam! He’s very proud. How many Beckjams have you made darling? You’re quite the entrepreneur.”
An insider revealed to the Mail: “Victoria has got a very wicked sense of humour. I think the jam video is aimed at Brooklyn, for sure. I think Victoria, in her voiceover, may also be having a pop at Meghan.”
