Is Rickie Fowler’s Second Baby Named After Nelly Korda?

Rickie Fowler would have preferred a better 2024, career-wise, that is. But when it comes to his personal life, he couldn’t have asked for more. The golfer and his wife, Allison Stokke, welcomed their second child, a daughter (once again!), this week. However, as the PGA Tour Pro announced the news on August 10, one can’t help but wonder if he named his second baby after one of the best female golfers in the world. Yes, we’re talking exactly about Nelly Korda!

Fowler shared a post on his Instagram handle announcing the news to his fans and the golfing community. “My Family!!” wrote the athlete, “Right where I’m supposed to be. Welcome to the crew Nellie.” The name sounds really similar to the current No. 1 in the Rolex rankings, doesn’t it?

Well, that’s just it. It’s just the names that sound similar and the golfer naming the child as ‘Nellie’ has nothing to do with the American Olympic star, Korda. But whether he would want his second baby to grow up and become a successful athlete on the greens like the American star. That, interestingly, he wouldn’t probably mind. Neither would we, wouldn’t we?!

Anyhow, the wonderful news of their baby girl’s birth came just four months after they announced it to the world. Back in April, Fowler, alongside his wife and first daughter Maya, had shared a joint Instagram post with a picture of the three with the caption, “Maya with shoes ready for her baby sister… We’re excited to be a foursome later this summer!”
