Meghan Markle’s eight-word comment about Prince Archie as she bonds with kids in Colombia

Meghan Markle had a beautiful encounter with a young pupil during a second school visit in Colombia’s capital in Bogata, alongside her husband, Prince Harry, at Colegio La Giralda, a local school in the town of Santa Fe.

The royal duo are visiting Colombia for a four-day visit at the invitation of the country’s vice president, Francia Marquez, who also toured the school.

After being greeted by the school’s headmaster Serafin Ordóñez, the Duke and Duchess along with the vice president participated in an art session, visited a kindergarten class, and also got stuck-in planting trees on the school’s property.

Meghan helped a five-year-old pupil called Manuela plant a walnut tree while Harry helped out with a guayacan tree – a plant native to South America.

The Duchess of Sussex had a surprise as she greeted a young girl who was the same age as her eldest child. She exclaimed in Spanish: “You’re the same age as my son Archie!”

Prince Harry also practiced his Spanish, asking students their names and age and then the young pupils also performed a song for the Duke and Duchess before presenting them with gifts and handwritten letters.

The school also prioritises an “outdoor concept” classroom which was set up in 2020 and was created for students to not just learn about their surroundings, but also understand the works of farmers in Colombia

The Duke and Duchess also visited the school’s ‘social and emotional gym’ which highlighted mental and physical exercises for students to learn about their mental health and personal wellbeing.
