SWING & A KISS Rory McIlroy kisses wife Erica Stoll with marriage appearing back on track after golfer did U-turn on divorce
RORY MCILROY’S marriage appears to be back on track after he was seen kissing his wife Erica Stoll.
The golfer filed for divorce back in May before a shock U-turn saw their split scrapped a month later.
McIlory, 35, was in action in a dramatic final play-off for the BMW PGA Championship title at Wentworth over the weekend.
He lost to Billy Horschel and was consoled by his family soon after.
A devastated McIlory was immediately on daddy duties, hugging his four-year-old daughter Poppy.
Erica, 37, then came over and the couple shared a kiss.
McIlroy filed for divorce before the case was voluntarily dismissed.
He told The Guardian: “There have been rumours about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumour is a fool’s game.
“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realised that our best future was as a family together.
McIlroy and Erica first met in 2011 when she was working at the Ryder Cup as manager of Championship Volunteer Operations.
A year later, the Northern Irishman slept through his alarm and was set to miss tee off time – only for his future wife to sort out a police escort to get him to the course.
