‘Annoying Mom in Your Face’ – Serena Williams Finds Her Post-Tennis Joy by Embracing Dream Role of Supporting Daughter Olympia
Serena Williams is living life on her terms having stepped off the professional circuit for two years. The mother of two is a regular when it comes to sharing glimpses with her family and indulging in chucklesome moments with her daughters. The American star has posted another exciting update – an adventurous outing she spontaneously volunteered to partake in with her daughter Olympia Ohanian.
The former World No. 1 recently underwent an operation for a lump that was diagnosed in May this year. Upon further investigation, doctors discovered it to be a branchial cyst. While the doctors initially suggested that the lump needs no removal, with time, it grew at an alarming rate – increasing the risk of an infection. With those concerns now settled and Williams back on her feet, healthy and recovered, she decided to rejoin her daughter for a fun recital, once again this year!
Taking to her official TikTok handle, the 23-time Grand Slam champion recited how she volunteered to be her daughter Olympia’s partner-in-crime in her dancing classes. To much hilarity, Serena also highlighted that she did the same a year before, amusingly revealing how she’s one of those ‘annoying moms’ who can be spotted with their kids almost every time.
She said, “Olympia has a recital so they asked for volunteers. Obviously, I wanna volunteer. So I am now in dance class and I have to go to my dance routine and get ready for the stage. Actually, I did it last year so I kinda remember the routine like I’m that mom that’s gonna be there every year. Annoying mom in your face, living her dreams – that’s me.”
