Princess Anne’s brutal response on what she would do if monarchy was abolished
Princess Anne, known for her no-nonsense approach, is a favourite among Royal enthusiasts. The Princess Royal, who is King Charles’ younger sister, has earned the title of ‘hardest working royal’ due to her extensive list of official engagements, often surpassing other senior royals.
According to YouGov, Anne currently ranks third in popularity among the royals, with her late mother, Queen Elizabeth, still holding the top spot two years after her passing, and Kate Middleton coming in second. Her popularity was further solidified when she accompanied her late mother’s coffin from Balmoral back to London in 2022, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to her mother and monarch.
A throwback video of Princess Anne recently resurfaced on social media, featuring the late TV presenter Terry Wogan asking her what she would do if the monarchy were abolished in the UK. Her response was straightforward: “What would you do if royalty was abolished? ” Wogan asked, to which she replied with a chuckle, “I’d have to work even harder on the farm.”
She was referring to Gatcombe Park, the estate where she has resided since 1976, which also operates as a working farm.
