Inside Andy Murray’s Cromlix House hotel – in pictures

This weekend, two-time Grand Slam tennis winner and world No. three Andy Murray will marry girlfried of nine years Kim Sears in his hometown of Dunblane, Stirling. The wedding party will take place at Cromlix, a five-star hotel Murray bought in 2013 for £1.8 million. Check availability

Cromlix has always been the local hotel to which the Murray family went for special occasions. And this won’t be the first Murray wedding held there: Jamie Murray, Andy’s brother, married his wife Alejandra at Cromlix in 2010.

The hotel has been beautifully and sensibly refurbished by Kathleen Fraser (with inputs from bride-to-be Kim Sears). The result has been interiors which complement the traditional feel of the Victorian country house. It incorporates many of the paintings and (restored) furnishings that were in the house when it was sold, plus new sofas and armchairs, fabrics and wall coverings.
