‘Knocked His Hair Clean Off’: Jordan Spieth Fans Stunned as He Endangers Spectator During Phoenix Open Round
For Jordan Spieth fans, the 2025 WM Phoenix Open is bittersweet. The three-time major winner rolled back the years with a performance that was reminiscent of his serial winning stretch from 2015 to 2017, a period during which he won 3 majors. Spieth finished a brilliant T4 after scoring 16 under par across the 4 days.
But what would be disappointing for Spieth fans is that his last day was a tad disappointing compared to his first three days. He dropped two places after managing only 3 under par. Nevertheless, the American pro could take inspiration from his performance in Arizona. And it was not just his performance that was a blast from the past.
An incident happened during Day 4 where Spieth seemingly was caught in a déjà vu moment. Spieth’s wayward tee shot at the 17 hole found itself amongst the crowd. While that was commonplace, what was interesting and concerning was that the ball hit a spectator straight on the head. A bald spectator at that.
The spectator looked in dire straits as the ball caught him with the full force. He was dazed and seen sitting down, rubbing the spot with what was seemingly a tissue.
