PGA Tour golfer Shane Lowry has set the record straight on his perceived affection for Guinness after revealing he has cut down on his drinking in recent years.
The popular tipple is a favoured choice amongst Irish natives and the County Offaly man is no different, having been spotted with a pint in his home nation on numerous occasions
Lowry has made no secret of the fact that he enjoys indulging in alcohol-fuelled sessions in the past after major victories in his golf career.
He celebrated his success at The Open in 2019 along with a huge crowd of friends and family at the Boar’s Head pub in Dublin, carrying the Claret Jug trophy in his hand.
In his honour, fans situated at pubs near to the Royal Portrush course in Northern Ireland drank their Guinness barrels dry.
