‘I struggled to be the best husband’ – Rory McIlroy opens up on divorce saga as new footage released

Ahead of its release, a trailer has been revealed featuring the Northern Irish golfer, who addresses his decision to file for divorce from his wife Erica Stoll before their reconciliation a month later.
The bombshell news is set to feature in the upcoming series of Full Swing, which covers the 2024 golf season.
News broke in May last year that McIlroy had filed for divorce after just over seven years of marriage.
It came just days after he had won the Wells Fargo Championship, one of two PGA Tour wins for the 35-year-old last year.
The couple reconciled a month later after resolving their differences, McIlory revealed.
He and Stoll have one child together, daughter Poppy, with the four-time Major winner addressing his marriage and fatherhood in the Full Swing trailer.
In a video posted by Netflix on social media, McIlroy can be seen speaking on the phone, stating: “Netflix cameras are following me right now.”
The world no.3 goes on to explain: “I’ve struggled with trying to be the best golfer, the best husband, the best dad.”
