Jordan Spieth disqualified as Scottie Scheffler threw ball in tree at Genesis Invitational
Jordan Spieth, Tiger Woods and Scottie Scheffler all made headlines at the 2024 Genesis Invitational for a wealth of different reasons. And as the 2025 edition of the annual golf event wraps up at Torrey Pines South on Sunday, Express Sport has recapped some of the biggest moments from last year’s event.
This week’s edition of the coveted tournament has seen Patrick Rodgers work his way to the top of the standings following an incredile run on the fairways and greens of San Diego. He currently holds a one-stroke lead at -8 going into Sunday’s final round.
However, Denny McCarthy is hot on his tail, while Ludvig Aberg slacks by two strokes in third place. Elsewhere, the likes of Davis Thompson, Tony Finau, Tommy Fleetwood, and Patrick Cantlay are all still in contention for the trophy, but they’ll have to overturn a four stroke deficit should they wish to reign supreme, while hoping that Rodgers slips up in his final round.
